PARACOSMO: FROM DREAMS TO DESIGNS

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Paracosmo is a founder-led lifestyle brand that transforms the owner's inner nostalgia and dreams into diverse goods, from jewelry and art to apparel and music.


This project was a digital magazine spread designed to develop the brand narrative for Paracosmo. The goal was to use the founder's story to humanize the brand, cultivating a personal connection between the artist and her audience.

CHALLENGE

How might we translate the artist's visual identity into a magazine spread?


CONTRAINTS

The core requirement was to capture the artist's inner world by translating her raw, sketch-based visual language into an editorial feature without compromising its authentic nature. Specifically the artist's vision required that the final spread emulated pages from her personal journal. 

PHASE 01: INTERVIEW

I started this project by conducting a sit down interview diving into her background, artistic philosophy, and a glimpse into her creative process to establish a brand narrative. This research ensured the final piece was aligned with her future brand growth.


PHASE 02: VISUAL FOUNDATION

Before designing the spreads I defined the visual guidelines that consisted of the brand's aesthetic and products. The final visual spreads were driven entirely by her established brand identity, I integrated her color palette and textures she loved, such as lace and star shapes.

PHASE 03: LAYOUT & LAUNCH

Using Adobe InDesign, I carefully designed the five spreads. I created a unique grid structure to balance interview text with the subject. Every font choice, color block, and background was intentional, crafted to guide the reader's eye.



CONCLUSION

Beyond the metrics, this project was a success because it bridged the gap between a faceless brand and a personal story. The enthusiastic community response confirmed that buyers valued connection just as much as the products. It was incredibly meaningful to see how a visual narrative could turn passive viewers into an engaged community so quickly.
